Students Back from Dubai

Annual Prize Day

St. Thomas School, Dhurwa organized the Annual Prize Day for the academic session 2009-2010 on 29th June 2010. The Chief Guest on the occasion was the Honorable Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Zacharias Mar Theophilus Suffragan Metropolitan, Mr. C. P. Singh, the Hon. Speaker, Jharkhand Assembly and members of the management committee also attended the function.

Various cultural programmes were held during this occasion such as Welcome Dance. It was presented by Mohika Tainwala of Std. VII, a group song by students choir, a colourful foot tapping group dance performance by the participants of Dance India Dance (DID) of Zee T. V. Hanshika of Std. VII.

The toppers of 2010 ICSE batch were awarded with endowment Prizes and trophies. The students who secured 90% and above in aggregate in ICSE were also awarded. In addition to this, special prizes were awarded to deserving candidates of Std IX and the class toppers of KG to Std IX also recevied trophies and certificates.

This year, one new award was introduced by Our ex-students for ICSe Topper. Dr. Sanjeev Divyadarshi and Rajeev Divyadarshi (IItian) have instituded a cash award namely-Premlata Nakul Singh which was received by Akik Dey, the school topper.

Our Revered Principal Rev. Joseph J Ayrookuzhy in his message to the children encouraged them to keep up their spirit. He asked them to do consistent study which will surely enhance their performance. He exhorted students to keep St. Thomas flag flying high.
