On June 8th 2021, St. Thomas Dhurwa, tearfully bid an online farewell to their Principal Rev. Sibu Abraham Mathew and Vice Principal Mrs. Sony Mary Abraham on the zoom platform. All teachers, office staff and the support staff were present on this solemn occasion. The programme commenced sharp at 11.30am with the Lord’s prayer, followed by Mrs. Poonam Chowdhury welcoming the Principal and Vice Principal and anchoring the programme. Bouquets were presented with gratitude which was followed by a prayer song by Mr. Sangma. Mrs. Deepa Verma gave a speech on the occasion, after which Mrs. Madhumita Singha sang a melodious song. A senior member of the support staff gave a speech. Mementoes were presented by the school to the couple along with collages and purses with all our love. Mrs. Nilanjana Mallik recited a poem written by her daughter. Miss Srikala Menon appraised the good work done by them in school. Mrs. Khushboo Jha presented a song. This was followed by a presentation by Mrs. Taposhi Dutta and other Junior school teachers.

The principal Rev. Sibu Abraham Mathew gave the parting speech, followed by the Vice Principal Mrs. Sony Mary Abraham’s emotional speech which moved all to tears. In the with a series of goodbyes, the meeting ended successfully. The school will miss them. Mrs. Savita Nehru, the activity in charge was instrumental in organizing the Farewell.
