Nature Club Day

"Your deepest roots are in nature. No matter where you are, where you live or what kind of life you lead, you remain irrevocably linked with the rest of creation."

Charles Cook

Nature is like our real mother which never harms us but always nourishes us. It nurtures and provides all the necessities for the growth of life in a selfless manner. So we must plant as many trees as we can to keep our earth healthy and green.

The Haritima Club of St. Thomas School, Dhurwa organized and celebrated Natures’s Day 2021-22 on 7th August under the efficient guidance and support of our esteemed Principal Rev. Dr. M.O. Oommen and Vice Principal Mrs. Susan Oommen. The Programme commenced with a prayer sung by the students of Std. IX and X. The welcome speech was given by Mrs. Ranjeeta Giri. Our Principal Rev. Dr. M.O. Oommen gave a motivational speech to save mother nature and plant more and more trees. He advised the students present there, to keep the school surroundings green and healthy. This was followed by a melodious song on nature sung by Ms. Manha Oommen. The programme came to an end with the planting of saplings by our Rev. Principal and Vice Principal. The vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Sukala C.P. The programme was well compered by Sneha Raj of Class X.

On the same day a Poem Recitation Competition was conducted for the pupils of Classes IV and V on Zoom Platform. An Online Painting Competition was also conducted for the pupils of Classes I to X.

All the events were well organaized with the help of assistant Incharge Mrs. Rashmi Sinha and Co- ordinated by Mrs. Savita Nehru. The programme would not have been successful without the continuous support of our Principal Rev. Dr. M.O. Oommen and Vice Principal Mrs. Susan Oommen . Each one associated with Nature Club programme had done a commendable job and I would like to thank the Office Staff Members, Teachers, Students and even our gardeners Mr. Gulinder Ram and Mr. Suraj Kumar who continuously work hard to keep the school surroundings green and healthy.
