To commemorate India’s 78th year of freedom from the British rule, on 15th August 2024 an iconic celebration with vibrant display of patriotism, unity and national pride took place in our school premise. There was enthusiasm and jubilation among the children, teachers and the sta which was reflected from their dress, overall get up and body language. The auditorium and assembly stage were decorated with patriotic theme.Our honourable chief guest, Rev. Dr. M O Oommen Jr. was welcomed to the assembly stage. The ceremony started with chanting of the National Song by the students’ choir. Then our school Principal Rev. Dr. M O Oommen Jr. hoisted the National Flag which was immediately followed by the National Anthem. Really it was a very glorifying moment!!
Thereafter our Principal was escorted to the auditorium with full respect and dignity. Here various cultural programmes were conducted. The event in-charge, Mrs. Taniya Kumar, welcomed everybody through her short and sweet inspirational speech. Mrs. Kiran Sinha extended her heartfelt thought-provoking speech and reminded us of our nation’s sacrifices and struggles. After the speech, students of standard 6, 7, 9 and 10 presented an energetic Dance Drama. It was followed by a very beautiful patriotic song sung by the students of standard 7, 8 and 9. After the song, our esteemed Principal addressed the children, teachers and the sta with his inspiring and motivational speech thus fostering patriotism, unity and integrity. There was a very soothing band display by the band group students. Last but not the least Mr. Prithvee Raj gave the vote of thanks and acknowledged each and everyone’s contribution in making the day so happening one. The ceremony was concluded by distribution of sweets to all.
