St. Thomas School, Dhurwa, Ranchi-04Date: 25th January 2025

The farewell ceremony for the Class 10 students (Batch 2024–2025) of St. Thomas School, Dhurwa, Ranchi, was held on 25th January 2025. It being a solemn affair was conducted in a very dignified manner. The event was marked by deep reverence, gratitude, and well wishes for the outgoing students as they embarked on the next phase of their journey.
The occasion was graced by the presence of our esteemed Principal, Rev. Dr. M. O. Oommen Jr., and Vice Principal, Mrs. Susan Oommen, who were the Guests of Honour for the event. The ceremony commenced with a heartfelt prayer and blessings led by both the Principal and Vice Principal, setting a spiritual and reflective tone for the gathering.
Following this, the Principal delivered an inspiring speech, addressing the students with words of wisdom, encouragement, and motivation. He emphasized the values of perseverance, integrity, and faith, urging the students to uphold the principles instilled in them during their years at St. Thomas School.
A special moment of the event was the presentation of mementos to each child, symbolizing the school’s appreciation for their journey and achievements. The contributions and efforts of students were recognized through various awards:

The atmosphere was filled with a mixture of emotions—joy, nostalgia, and gratitude—as the students reflected on their cherished memories at St. Thomas School. The batch of 2024–2025, having spent years together growing, learning, and forming lasting friendships, bid farewell to their alma mater with a promise to uphold its teachings in their future endeavors.Paying obeisance to thei’ Temple of Learning’ they adorned the letter STS by grooving it with red and yellow roses.
A series of farewell pictures were taken, capturing the essence of the day and the bonds shared among students and teachers. These moments will serve as cherished memories of their time at school.
The event concluded with a fellowship lunch, allowing students, teachers, and staff to come together in a warm and joyful gathering. The farewell was not merely a goodbye but a heartfelt celebration of the students’ journey, their achievements, and the bright futures that lie ahead.
