GOLDEN JUBLIEE INAUGURAL AND  VALEDICTORY CEREMONY

“Honouring the glorious past , celebrating the golden present and envising the promising future ,the St. Thomasian community humbly celebrated half a century of learning , teaching and growing , a legacy of growing 50 years and still counting ….”

The Golden Jubliee Celebration of St.Thomas school, Dhurwa , marked a historic milestone in our institution’s journey. The celebration commenced with a splendid inaugural ceremony on Saturday 26^Th August ,2023 in the school auditorium which was graced by our honourable Bishop His Grace Rt. Rev. Dr. Euyakim Mar Coorilos Suffragan Metropolitan . The Principal and the Vice Principal of St.Thomas school , Hardag and other esteemed MTES members were the special dignitaries present to attend the memorable function. Our honourable  Principal Rev. Dr. M.O.Oommen Jr. officially welcomed the guests and presented the school Annual Report for the session 2022-2023.Our dynamic Vice Principal Mrs. Susan Oommen delivered the felicitation message . Mrs. Jolly Kurien ,Secretary MTES and Mr. Sijan Kumar Treasurer MTES felicitated our honourable Bishop .

The Golden Jubilee Celebration provided an excellent opportunity for the alumni to reconnect with their alma mater . Even the ex-teachers who had served this institution for decades and retired were felicitated .

Going down the memory lane ,to showcase the history of the school ,” A Resplendent Journey of 50 glorious years – Lighted to Lighten” was presented. This program also included dance performances based on the motto of the school“ Study ,Play and Serve”, Yoga Dance , Indo-Western Fusion Dance and  Kalari ( a traditional martial art of Kerala). 

 To conclude the Golden Jubliee celebration, the Valedictory function of St. Thomas School Ranchi was commemorated on 18^th January ,2023 and it was truly a mesmerising and exceptional event. First of all,the chief guests and the dignitaries were accompanied to the stage with the dancers and were welcomed by the school band.The programme began with a prayer led by the Ex. Principal of St. Thomas School,  very Rev. C.A.Varghese followed by our Principal Rev.Dr. M.O.Oommen Jr. who delivered the welcome address.The chief guests were His Grace the most Rev.Dr.Theodosius Mar Thoma Metropolitan, Supreme Head of the Mar Thoma church of Malabar and the Chief Patron of all our institutions and organisations of the church ,Ex.Principals, very Rev.C .A.Varghese,Rev. George Koshy,Rev. Alexander Thomas, Father Joseph J.Ayrookuzhy, Father Sibu Abraham Mathew, Ex Vice Principals –Dr. Mariam Joseph ,Mrs. Sony Abraham and Ex. Principals and Ex. Vice Principals of St. Thomas School Hardag. Then, our Vice Principal mentioned the achievements of the school of the past 50 years which was shown in a beautiful slide show. Future plans of the school was put forth by Mr. Anup ,MTES.The programme continued with traditional dances, group song of English choir, the nostalgia presentation of the memories of St.Thomas School, followed by dramas,acts, tribal dances, group song of Hindi choir and the national anthem marked the end of the programme.It was truly an unforgettable experience which added up to the glory of St. Thomas school.
