Report on Haritima Club-2024-2025

The Haritima Club of St. Thomas School, Dhurwa, Ranchi is focused on increasing students’ understanding and appreciation of nature and raising awareness about  consequences of human activity on the natural world.

The club has successfully organized Haritima day on on 26th July, 2024 to promote the nature awareness among students. 

After the prayer song by the Choir Members of the School, the event began with a warm welcome speech by Miss Atiqa Zainab [X D]. An insightful speech on the significance of the nature in our lives was delivered by Miss Sejal Gothi [IX E]. A melodious song related to nature was sung by the Teacher’s Choir, which added a touch of enthusiasm and emotion to the program. All attendees participated in a solemn pledge , to save mother earth , led by the Head Boy , Master Nabeel  Jami
[X B].

A sapling plantation was organized by the club in school premises led by Our Principal Rev. Dr.

M.O. Oommen Jr., and the Honorable Vice Principal Mrs. Susan Oommen accompanied by the Haritima club members and students.

An eco-Friendly Class Decoration Competition was organized on 26th July , 2024, for Std. 2 to Std. 10.The objective of the Competition was to encourage creativity, awareness towards nature, teamwork and sense of responsibility among students. Students actively participated with great enthusiasm.

  The Winner of the competition are as follows:

  1. Group 1 (Std. 2 & 3)            –           Std. 2E  (Class teacher   : Mr. Anmol Minz)
    1. Group 2 (Std. 4 & 5)            –           Std. 5D (Class teacher   : Mrs. Manisha Prasad)

    1. Group 4 (Std. 9 & 10 )         –          Std. 9D (Class teacher    : Mrs. Rajni Srivastava)
