World Nature Conservation Day



St. Thomas School, Hardag, celebrated World Nature Conservation Day on 28 July 2026 with the aim of creating awareness among students about the importance of protecting nature and conserving natural resources.
The programme began with an opening prayer song by the school choir, followed by Bible reading, the thought of the day, and the pledge. Students of Classes III and IV presented an action song. Speeches on the importance of nature conservation and the medicinal value of plants highlighted the need to protect our environment.
The Principal, Rev. Anix Johnson, delivered an inspiring message on environmental protection. The programme also included a plantation ceremony titled “Root of Hope,” symbolising the school’s commitment to a greener future. The programme concluded with the National Anthem and a vote of thanks by Aishwarya Toppo of Class VII C.
The celebration encouraged students to develop environmental responsibility and understand that every small effort counts in protecting our planet for future generations.
Independence Day Celebration



St. Thomas School, Hardag, celebrated Independence Day with great pride and patriotic spirit. The programme began with a welcome speech, followed by flag hoisting by the Principal, Rev. Anix Johnson, and Vice-Principal, Helen Mary John, along with the National Anthem. Students presented a march past, patriotic poem, dance, skit, songs, and formations. The Principal delivered an inspiring message highlighting the importance of freedom, unity, and patriotism. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of love and respect for the nation.
Teacher's Day Celebration


St. Thomas School, Hardag, celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5 September 2026 with great enthusiasm and gratitude. The programme began with a prayer song, followed by Bible reading, the thought of the day and the pledge. The Principal, Rev. Anix Johnson, and Vice-Principal, Helen Mary John, were honoured through portrait garlanding.
The celebration continued with a token of love, group song, Teachers’ Day speech, and a lively group dance by the students. The Principal delivered an inspiring message for the occasion. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem. The celebration was a joyful tribute to the dedication and contribution of teachers.
Hindi Diwas Celebration 2026



St. Thomas School, Hardag, Ranchi celebrated Hindi Diwas on 14 September 2026 with great enthusiasm and participation from students and teachers. The programme highlighted the importance of Hindi as a language of identity, culture and national pride.
The programme began with a prayer, followed by a Bible verse, thought for the day and pledge. Students from Classes III to IX participated in various activities including poetry recitation, Hindi Varnamala identification, Kabir and Rahim’s dohas, speeches on Hindi literature, and presentations on renowned personalities such as Jaishankar Prasad and Rabindranath Tagore.
The Vice Principal, Mrs. Helen Mary John, delivered a meaningful message encouraging students to respect and promote the Hindi language. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
The event was smoothly compered by Arshana Jha and coordinated by Reena Kumari, Sangeeta Kumari and Madhu Kumari. The celebration successfully instilled in students a sense of love, respect and pride for the Hindi language and Indian culture.
International Yoga Day-2026



St. Thomas School, Hardag observed International Yoga Day on 20 June 2026 with active participation from students and teachers. The programme began with a prayer song by the School Choir, followed by Bible reading, the thought for the day and the pledge, presented by students of Class IX.
The highlight of the programme was an inspiring Yoga Display by students of Classes VI to VIII, showcasing various yoga postures and emphasizing the importance of physical fitness, mental well-being and a healthy lifestyle.
The Vice-Principal, Mrs. Helen Mary John, delivered a meaningful message on the significance of yoga in maintaining a balanced and healthy life. The programme was anchored by Akshay Srivastava of Class IX and concluded with the National Anthem by the School Choir.
The celebration successfully created awareness among students about the importance of yoga, discipline, fitness and holistic well-being.
World Labour Day Celebration-2026



St. Thomas School, Hardag observed World Labour Day on 1 May 2026 with a meaningful programme to recognise and appreciate the contribution of workers and non-teaching staff.
The programme began with a prayer song by the School Choir, followed by Bible reading, the Thought of the Day and the Pledge, presented by students. Students of Standards I to III presented a special display depicting different professions, highlighting the dignity and importance of labour.
The non-teaching staff were felicitated in appreciation of their valuable contribution to the smooth functioning of the school. Medals and certificates were also distributed to deserving participants. The programme included a message by the Vice Principal, Ms. Helen Mary John, followed by words of gratitude by Florence Bhaiya.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem by the School Choir. The event was anchored by Abhiraj of Std. IX-A.
Overall, the celebration was a thoughtful initiative that instilled in students respect for all forms of work, dignity of labour, gratitude and social responsibility.
Child Labour Awareness Day-2026



St. Thomas School, Hardag observed Child Labour Awareness Day on 12 June 2026 to create awareness about the harmful effects of child labour. The programme included a prayer song, Bible reading, thought of the day and pledge. Students of Std. V presented an act depicting different forms of child labour, highlighting the importance of protecting children’s rights and ensuring their education. The programme also featured an awareness message by the Principal, Father Anix Johnson, and concluded with the National Anthem. The programme was anchored by Daksh of Std. VIII-C.
