St. Thomas School, Dhurwa, Ranchi celebrated World Nature Conservation Day on 27 July 2026 with great enthusiasm to promote environmental awareness and emphasise the importance of conserving nature.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Thomas K. Thomas, Principal, and Mrs. Jessy Jacob, Vice Principal. The celebration was organised by the Haritima Club under the leadership of Mrs. Smita Sinha (Haritima Club In-charge) and Ms. Vandanee Kumari (Haritima Club Co-in-charge). The event was coordinated by Mrs. Reshu Sinha (Events In-charge).

A special morning assembly on the theme of World Nature Conservation Day was presented by the students of Class X F under the guidance of their class teacher, Mrs. Paroma Banerjee. Through speeches and presentations, and a skit, the students highlighted the importance of conserving natural resources and protecting the environment.

As part of the celebration, a plantation drive was carried out by the School Council Members and the teachers of the Haritima Club, symbolising the school’s commitment to a greener and more sustainable future. The programme witnessed the active participation of the Principal, Vice Principal, teachers, and students.

The celebration concluded with a message encouraging everyone to protect nature and contribute towards building a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment for future generations.
