St Thomas School ,Dhurwa celebrated Teachers’ Day with great enthusiasm and reverence ,paying tribute to the dedication, commitment and invaluable contribution of its teachers and staff.Students donned diverse role as pupil teachers,anchors,performers and organisers presenting a memorable tribute to their mentors.The program began on the auspicious note as the students of class 10 did Guru Puja of our Revered Principal,Dr.Thomas K Thomas, Vice Principal mam, Mrs.Jessy Jacob and all the teachers.The Principal and the Vice Principal then paid floral tribute to Dr.Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan ,the eminent philosopher, statesman and former President of India whose birth anniversary is observed as Teachers’ Day.This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp,symbolising the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge, wisdom and enlightenment.
Addressing the gathering , Principal Rev.Thomas K Thomas extended his heartfelt greetings to the entire teacher fraternity on the occasion of Teachers’ Day . Emphasising the profound influence of teachers in shaping young minds.He said that students gain courage because teachers believe in them,and students attain success because teachers instill confidence in them.He described teachers as the’true nation builder’and ‘guiding light’.He also emphasized that teaching is not merely a job it is the responsibility.
The program featured melodious musical performances and graceful dance presentations.The celebration became even more engaging with a series of entertaining games in which the teachers participated with great enthusiasm , camaraderie and sporting spirit.The lively performance and activities created an atmosphere of joy and togetherness ,making the occasion memorable for everyone present.
The teachers who emerged as winners for various games were felicitated.
The program concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the successful celebration followed by Benediction.The occasion left the entire STS Dhurwa family inspired and rejuvenated,with a renewed sense of pride in being part of an institution that recognises ,respects and celebrates its educators- the guiding force behind every student’s journey towards excellence.
